Artesyn Unveils the EXB30 Dual Series of DC/DC Converters

Artesyn Technologies (Madison, WI) recently introduced the EXB30 Dual Series of high-efficiency, open-frame, dc/dc converters. Artesyn claims that the EXB30 Dual satisfies the requirements for multiple voltage supply by providing two independent, fully regulated, positive outputs that are separately trimmable. It was designed for systems employing a distributed power architecture, therefore is suited for wireless, telecom and networking applications. The EXB30 Dual is an isolated dc/dc converter built in the industry standard footprint of 2.28" x 2.4". It is designed to provide up to 6A of output current and is available with 5.0V/3.3V and 3.3V/2.5V output combinations. Both models are available in 24V and 48V input versions. The EXB30 Dual also incorporates a tracking feature to ensure that both output voltages rise together during start up.Designed using a synchronous rectification topology and planar magnetics, the EXB30 Dual contains basic insulation and delivers up to 88 percent efficiency. It has an ambient temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees C with natural convection and is built with an open-frame construction. The EXB30 Dual also carries full international safety approvals.Pricing for the EXB30 Dual is $86.30 each in quantities of 100 and can be ordered now with an eight-week lead time.
