Toshiba to Launch MP3-player Powered by Fuel Cell in 2005

Toshiba (Japan), electronics company, plans to launch an MP3- player powered by a fuel cell in 2005. Instead of recharging the battery, it will be necessary to refill ethanol. Two fuel cells will be available, a 100-mW one and a 300-mW one for players fitted with a hard disk. In the first case, 3.5 mil of alcohol should be enough for 35 hours of playing. The bigger cell should work with 10 ml of ethanol for up to 60 hours.
