UQM Technologies Inc. (Frederick, CO), a developer of alternative energy technologies, announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, UQM Electronics Inc., has received an order from Southwest Windpower Inc. (Flagstaff, AZ) for the production of electronic controls to manage the operation of its wind turbines. Southwest Windpower markets a complete line of wind turbines with peak outputs of 400W to 3,000W under the trade names Whisper®, Air® and Air-X®.
