Surface-Mount DC-DC Offers Extended Temperature Operation
Aimtec announces a new surface-mount dc-dc converter designed to provide input-to-output isolation of 3500-Vdc for up to 60 seconds, low isolation capacitance (20pF) and extended temperature operation from -50 to +125 degrees C. These converters are designed to provide enhanced isolation in systems and support 5Vdc on both the input and output. This new AM1LE-NZ series converter also features continuous short circuit protection, and is pin compatible with many manufacturers.
With an operating frequency of 100kHz (300kHz, maximum), these converters measure 0.50 x 0.44 x 0.28 inches (12.70 x 11.20 x 7.25 mm) and weigh 1.5 grams. They deliver full power (1W) up to 105 degrees C and derate linearly to 80% power (0.8W) at 125 degrees C. They have a noise and ripple of 60 mV (20MHz bandwidth) and a calculated MTBF of 3.5 million hours. The AM1LE-NZ meets EN55022 Class B and IEC61000-4-2, Perf. Criteria B.
