May 30, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Pulizzi Engineering Inc. (Santa Ana, CA) recently debuted the TPC4100 Series of three-phase, high-current power distribution systems. The TPC4100 Series is designed for either zero-U or 1U rack mounting. It provides 20A or 30A three-phase WYE power input with distribution to 12 single-phase outlets rated 15A or 20A at either 120V, 240V or a combination of the two. It comes in a 16GA steel chassis that measures 19" x 1.75" x 9.5".

Pulizzi reports that the TPC4100 Series provides true over-current listed main disconnect circuit-breaker protection to UL 489 requirements. The units include EMI/RFI filtering and surge suppression. There are four outlets per phase, with model PH-X having two outlets on both the front and rear panels, whereas models PH-Y and PH-Z have four outlets each on the rear panel. Power input is provided through an attached power cable and plug.

The TPC4100-A2 has a 20A input with 5-20R (125V/20A) outlets, while the TCP4100-B has a 20A input with 6-15R (250V/15A) outlets. The TPC4100-AB has a 30A input with a combination of 5-15R (125V/15A) and 6-15R outlets, and the PTC4100-C has a 30A input with 5-15R outlets.

Single-unit prices of Pulizzi's new TPC4100 Series range from $809 to $987, depending on the model and features. Quantity discounts are available. The TPC4100 Series meets the latest UL/cUL, 1950, third-edition (EN60950), listed safety requirements.
