Belkin to Introduce New SurgeMaster Contractor-Grade Series

Belkin (Compton, CA) announced that it will be introducing its new SurgeMaster Contractor-Grade Series of surge protectors and power strips at the National Hardware Show (Chicago, IL) on August 12 through 14, 2001. The complete line will begin shipping in North America on November 1, 2001.

The new SurgeMaster protectors are available in a plastic enclosures, with a four- and eight-outlet models, and also in a metal enclosure, with four- and six-outlet models. Both four-outlet surge protectors offer 357J of protection, while the six- and eight-outlet models provide 1,180J.

The new SurgeMaster power strips are available in plastic four- and six-outlet enclosures as well as in metal four- and six-outlet enclsoures. Both plastic- and metal-enclosure styles offer users 14-gauge heavy-duty power cords, safety covers, ac BlockSpace, cord management and heavy-duty handles. All models are available in orange/black, navy blue/sky blue and lime/black.

"With the contractor and do-it-yourselfer in mind, we designed a product that will provide a safe and complete workshop and jobsite solution," said Dena Bellow, product manager of the hardware line at Belkin.
