Analog Devices Intros ADR01/ADR02 Voltage References

August 15, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Analog Devices Inc. (Wilmington, MA) introduced a new family of precision-bandgap voltage references in compact SOT-23-5 and SC-70-5 packages. The ADR01 and ADR02 are improved versions of the popular REF01 and REF02 voltage references, and provide a stable output voltage from a wide supply voltage range of 15V to 40V and 10V to 40V, respectively. Additionally, an SOIC-8 version of this family is pin-compatible with the REF01 and REF02, and can be used as drop-in replacements.

The 10V-output ADR01 and 5V-output ADR02 voltage reference family provide a low

temperature coefficient of 3ppm/C, a long-term stability of 50ppm per 1,000 hours, and an output current of 10mA, making the devices suitable for precision data-acquisition systems, high-resolution converters, industrial process control and precision instrumentation applications. The trim terminal on the ADR01 and ADR02 can be used for fine

adjustment; with an external buffer, the TEMP terminal can be used for temperature-monitoring functions.

Available now, the ADR01 and ADR02 operate over the extended industrial temperature range of -40 to +125 degrees C, and are

priced at $1.36 per unit in 1,000-piece quantities.
