Advance-Galatrek Unveils the PowerElite MultiTec UPS Line

July 14, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Advance-Galatrek (UK) has unveiled its new range of PowerElite MultiTec UPSs. The units are designed to deliver sine-wave power protection up to 10kVA, and are suitable for integration into medium-sized professional data- and voice-processing networks.

With capacity options ranging between 6kVA and 10kVA, the PowerElite MultiTec line of UPSs uses dynamic input and output filters to guarantee protection of the load from upstream electrical pollution. The UPS's filters continue to protect the load even when the unit is in static-bypass mode. Either single- or three-phase inputs can be selected at the time of installation.

Each unit in the PowerElite MultiTec UPS range can generate a stable sine-wave output over a wide input-voltage range, without needing to resort to battery power. The PowerElite can deliver high-quality mains power down to as low as 140Vac. Users can instruct the UPS to operate in either on-line or economy modes or, alternatively, enable the UPS to use its own SmartActive mode to select the most appropriate operating criteria from a set range of parameters.

The PowerElite MultiTec UPSs incorporate front-end PFC circuitry. For remote communications, the UPS features an RS232 port. Each model also incorporates built-in, automatic, static and manual maintenance bypasses, with automatic or manual battery-testing facilities. External maintenance bypasses and dual-redundant switches are available to match each model. All versions feature an integral battery, with the option of using additional battery packs or standby generators for extended run times.
