Yuasa Intros H130R 3200/9600CO Modular Rack-Mounted Horizon RPS

February 14, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

Yuasa Inc. (Reading, PA) introduced the H130R 3200/9600CO modular rack-mounted Horizon Remote Power System (RPS). The new system is designed for use in digital subscriber loops, fiber-to-curb systems, and narrowband/broadband applications at new or existing central office locations, outside plant locations or CEV sites.

The configurable system can be installed with new rectifiers and batteries, or can use those that already exist at a given site. The RPS requires an ac input from 176 to 264V and delivers up to 9600W at -130Vdc. It will utilize either Horizon 725W rectifiers or existing rectifiers to convert ac to dc, and 48V to 130V dc/dc converters to reach -130Vdc.
