XPiQ Expands THF Series of DIN-Rail Power Supplies

April 28, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

XPiQ Inc. (Holliston, MA), a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of ac-dc and dc-dc power supply products, expanded its THF Series of compact, DIN-rail power supplies to offer a choice of 12 models with power ratings from 45 W to 240 W. Designed for applications in industrial control, embedded systems, building automation, and test and measurement, the THF Series offers output voltages from 12 V to 48 V, adjustable ±10 percent.

The power supplies have universal ac inputs, with the exception of the 120 W version, which has a switched input. With rugged and compact construction - the 120 W model is just 65.5 mm wide - the space-saving DIN units are up to 85-percent efficient to minimize wasted heat, and they feature integral over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection. They have UL508 approval for industrial control applications, and meet EN60950 and CE mark requirements for Europe. Output-voltage tolerance is ±2 percent, and both line and load regulation are within ±1 percent. Earth leakage current is less than 1 mA for units rated at up to 75 W, and less than 3.5 mA for higher-power versions. The maximum inrush current is 60 A.

The THF models are available now and pricing for 1,000-plus-piece quantities is from $27.50 for the 45 W model, $45.00 for the 75 W version and $87.00 for the 240 W product.
