XP Power Unveils I Series Isolated DC-DC Converters

July 30, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

XP Power plc (Sunnyvale, CA), a provider of ac-dc power supplies and dc-dc converter power solutions, unveiled its new I Series of 1 W/2 W isolated dc-dc converters, offered in a choice of board mounting, DIP or SIP, and industry-standard footprint packages, which are now RoHS-compliant. The converters comprise over 175 models in single-output and dual-output versions with input voltages from 3.3 Vdc to 48 Vdc. Output voltages are from 3.3 Vdc to 48 Vdc and efficiency is up to 80 percent at full load. Ripple and noise is between 75 mV and 150 mV (peak-to-peak) at 20 MHz, and isolation is either 3,000 Vdc or 1,000 Vdc, both characteristics dependent upon the model.

Housed in UL94V-0 rated cases, the converters will operate from -40 °C to +85 °C ambient temperature and are convection cooled. All versions have integral short-circuit protection. Samples are available from stock. Pricing for OEM quantities starts at $4.80 each for 1,000 pieces.
