Xantrex PV 100208 Solar Inverter Receives UL Listing

April 18, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Xantrex Technology Inc. (Arlington, WA) announced that its 100kW, grid-tied, three-phase inverter, the photovoltaic (PV) 100208, has achieved an Underwriters' Laboratories (UL) listing to Standard 1741, which includes IEEE 929 interconnect requirements. The Xantrex PV 100208 offers a standardized large-scale option for commercial PV applications, allowing convenient installation of one large inverter rather than several smaller inverters.

"The PV 100208 is backed by years of reliable performance and already provides the critical grid interconnection link for over 3MW of installed photovoltaic capacity for commercial applications throughout North America," said Mike Behnke, director of sales and engineering for Xantrex's distributed power market unit. "UL certification on the PV 100208 will make installing solar power at a commercial level more viable than ever before."
