Vishay Presents TNPW Series of Resistors

February 25, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Malvern, PA) introduced its new TNPW Series of nichrome thin-film chip resistors, which feature tolerance levels of as low as 0.1 percent and TCR values ranging from 15ppm per degree C to 150ppm per degree C, making them suitable for navigation and avionics instrumentation, medical and test equipment, automotive instrumentation, and telecommunications systems.

The resistors are housed in a ceramic casing with a metal film layer and protective topcoat with tin-lead contacts on a nickel barrier layer. They conform to the CECC4000/40400/40401-801, EN140400/IEC 601 15-1, and EIA-575 standards. The TNPW resistors are offered with resistance values ranging from 10 ohms to 1 megohm, and are available in 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206 and 1210 sizes. Custom resistance values and sizes are also offered.
