USABC Enters Program With Electrofuel Inc.

The United States Advanced Battery Consortium (USABC) announced it has entered into a program with Electrofuel Inc. (Toronto) to determine the feasibility of using Electrofuel's lithium-ion SuperPolymer battery technology in electric vehicles. According to the USABC, preliminary reviews indicate that the Electrofuel lithium ion SuperPolymer battery technology has the potential to meet most of the USABC long-term goals."The USABC is a world-leader in applying battery power to transportation," said Sankar Das Gupta, president of Electrofuel. "We are proud to take part in this program which has the potential to develop an acceptable, environmentally-friendly alternative to oil."
