Unitrode Intros UCC3919 Hot Swap Power Manager

Unitrode Corp. (Merrimack, NH) introduced the UCC3919 Hot Swap Power Manager, which provides complete power management for 3V to 8V hot swap data processing and network applications such as server backplane modules, network backplane modules, power cables, docking stations and energy star systems. Available over military, industrial and commercial temperature ranges, the UCC3919 features externally programmable functions including fault current, fault time, soft start, maximum regulation current and average power limiting on the external NFET. The device also features housekeeping functions, undervoltage lockout and shutdown control. The UCC3919 is priced at $1.93 each in quantities of 1,000.
