United Chemi-Con Inc. (Rosemont, IL) announced its new PXA Series of chip capacitors, which use a solid, functional, polymer electrolyte, and last 2,000h at a maximum temperature of 105 degrees C.
Available with voltage ratings from 2.5V to 25V and capacitance values from 10µF to 10mF, the components are suitable for use in dc/dc converters, voltage regulators and decoupling applications in PC equipment.
The capacitors are rated for operation over the temperature range of -55 to +105 degrees C and can withstand two reflow soldering cycles when exposed to lead-free alloy melting points between 210 and 230 degrees C. The capacitors are shipped in case sizes ranging from 6.3(ø) x 5.7mm to 10(ø) x 7.7mm.
