UNIPOWER Unveils UNIFLEX Distribution Panels

September 30, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

UNIPOWER Telecom, a division of UNIPOWER Corp. (Coral Springs, FL), announced its new UNIFLEX Series of dc distribution panels, which provide overload protection and low-voltage disconnect (LVD) in a single 1U high panel.

They provide flexibility in combining fuses, circuit breakers, and/or LVD in a dual A/B panel. Fuse sections can be chosen from GMT, Type 70 and KTK. The circuit-breaker section has up to six breakers with up to 50A capacity each.

The LVD section is rated at 70A. It can be connected as either a battery or load disconnect and has an optional bypass switch. The LVD has a battery circuit breaker with 100A capacity.

The UNIFLEX distribution panels are only one rack space (1.75in) high and come with brackets that permit mounting in either a 19in or 23in rack. They can be mounted from the front of the rack with offsets every quarter-inch from front to back to align with existing rack-mounted equipment. All panels are UL recognized.

The UNIFLEX Series vary in price according to specific customer configuration, but prices start at $247.
