Tyco Electronics Presents JHW350 Series Converters

January 26, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Tyco Electronics Power Systems Inc. (Dallas, TX) announced its new JHW350 Series of high-efficiency half-brick, dc-dc converters designed to support high-power wireless amplifier applications. The JHW350 converters operate over an input-voltage range of 36Vdc to 75Vdc, providing a single, precisely regulated 28V output of up to 350W. Synchronous rectification technology enables the converter to achieve ultra-high efficiency, reaching 94% at 28V with full load.

The five-sided encapsulated package and packaging supports performance in a variety of demanding thermal environments, allowing the module to operate over a wide temperature range of –40°F to +185°F (-40°C to +85°C). Threaded through-holes allow easy mounting or the addition of a heatsink for high-temperature applications.

The JHW350 module is priced at $118.30 for 1,000-unit quantities.
