Tyco Electronics Launches New NP2500 Rectifier

October 01, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Tyco Electronics Power Systems (Dallas, TX) expanded its NP Series of 48V power systems with the launch of the NP2500 rectifier. The NP Series of interchangeable rectifiers are designed to operate as part of a complete distributed power system that supports optical routing and switching, data, storage, enterprise networks, broadband and telecommunications applications worldwide.

With 8W/in³, the NP2500 rectifier measures 5.75in x 10.77in x 5.25in (144.78mm x 273.81mm x 133.35mm), and provides a 7,500W

system in 3U of rack space. The patented "zero-height," 19in NP shelf does not add height to the power system. The NP shelf will hold three rectifiers of any power level and measures 19in x 12in x 3.5in (482.6mm x 304.2mm x 87.9mm). Customers can parallel up to four shelves.

The NP2500 is immediately available and is priced at $580 in 1,000-piece quantities.
