Tyco Electronics Intros RHE400/RHE1500 Devices

Tyco Electronics Power Components (Menlo Park, CA) announced its new RHE400 and RHE1500 Raychem circuit-protection PolySwitch® devices for industrial and commercial electronics applications. The RHE400 and RHE1500 resettable devices are used to help protect equipment from downstream short circuits, over-current faults and other power faults.

The radial-leaded RHE400 and RHE1500 devices are available with hold currents of 4.0A and 15.0A, respectively, and are designed for a maximum fault current of 100A, and can be used in ambient temperatures of up to 125 degrees C. AHR versions of these products will be available for automotive

applications that require qualification to the AEC-Q200 specification.

The PolySwitch RHE400 and RHE1500 devices are UL, CSA and TUV certified and are

available in straight-lead or kinked-lead configurations in bulk packaging, ammo pack, or tape-and-reel for compatibility with high-volume manufacturing. Pricing for the RHE400 is $0.217 in quantities of 100,000, and the RHE1500 is $0.44 in quantities of 100,000. Samples are available now and delivery is five to seven weeks ARO.
