Tripp Lite Intros PowerAlert Software Version 10.2

June 13, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

Tripp Lite (Chicago, IL) announced the release of upgraded PowerAlert Software (Version 10.2), claimed to be the first truly-integrated enterprise-wide UPS power management software. The new version of PowerAlert includes PowerAlert Enterprise, an application that provides a single graphical interface of UPS systems network-wide and lets users react to alerts remotely, without having to purchase an expensive Network Management System. PowerAlert displays all UPSs on a network in a single-icon tree format, with icons displayed alone or with detailed reports of power conditions. When a user-specified alarm is triggered by a UPS, the corresponding icon changes color. Quick identification of power outages or trouble spots across a network can be made from a remote location, saving costly service calls. A CD-ROM including PowerAlert 10.2 and PowerAlert Enterprise is bundled free-of-charge with most Tripp Lite UPS systems. It will also be available to customers for download on Tripp Lite's website.
