The D in DPF Now Stands for More Than Digital; Reflects Darnell Focus on Wider Power Electronics Industry

July 12, 2010 by Jeff Shepard

Darnell’s Power Forum (DPF ’10) is replacing the Digital Power Forum with an expanded focus and larger audience. The new DPF ’10 is an exciting new event building on the success of the Digital Power Forum and the nanoPower Forum. There is tremendous synergy possible from discussions broadly focused on power management, energy efficiency, advanced components, energy storage, smart grid innovations and more. DPF ’10 is a solutions-oriented event, with a strong emphasis on practical advances in power electronics.

In addition to a strong focus on today’s "best practices," DPF looks forward toward next generation solutions and advances. Some of the areas of focus for this important annual event are:

Advanced Components: Topics may include: Latest developments in power conversion components to support advanced designs such as, semiconductor devices, advanced packaging, interconnect, thermal management, magnetic devices, capacitors, batteries, ultracapacitors, sensors, new materials, integrated passives, and so on.
