TelCom Semi Intros TC59 Voltage Regulator

February 28, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

TelCom Semiconductor Inc. (Mountain View, CA) introduced the TC59, a low dropout, negative output voltage regulator designed specifically for battery-operated systems. The TC59 features typical low supply current of 3.0uA, and typical low dropout operation of 120mV at 50mA. Factory-programmed output voltages of -2.1V to -6.0V in 100mV steps are available. Applications include cellular phone transmitter negative bias supplies, negative display bias supplies and negative power supplies for analog circuits. Housed in an SOT23-3 package, the TC59 is priced from $1.06 in 6,000-piece quantities.
