TDK Corporation announced the official opening of its TDK‑Lambda UK EMC Centre. The TDK‑Lambda UK EMC Centre is adjacent to its manufacturing facility in Ilfracombe. The company Tokyo Denkikagaku Kogyo (Tokyo Electronics and Chemicals), which is celebrating 60 years in the power electronics industry this year, welcomed Hiroyuki Yashiro, President of TDK‑Lambda Corporation who cut the ribbon at the grand opening ceremony. The £1M EMC Centre houses an anechoic test chamber. The Centre enables the company to perform EMC test measurements in full compliance with EN, ANSI, and CISPR standards. This will let TDK-Lambda fully certify its power supply products onsite, without having to use a third-party test house.

In addition, TDK engineers will be able to assist customers in gaining compliance for their end equipment. The company will offer pre-compliance EMC testing for its customers.

"It is an honor to welcome President Yashiro from Tokyo to perform our opening ceremony," says Adam Rawicz, Managing Director of TDK-Lambda EMEA. "The opening of this EMC Centre is testament to the continued inward investment by TDK Corporation and will enable the design teams to continue to develop the next generations of world-class, leading-edge power supplies."
