Tadiran Offers Pulses Plus Batteries

Tadiran US Battery Division (Port Washington, NY) is now offering Pulses Plus batteries specifically designed for emergency roadside-assistance systems, automatic mayday systems, and other GPS and RFID-based systems. The Pulses Plus lithium battery can be used as either a backup battery or as the primary power source. It is a 3.6V battery utilizing lithium-thionyl chloride chemistry.

The Pulses Plus batteries are claimed to have a higher capacity than other lithium batteries. Tadiran maintains that the D size cell has 19Ah. Self-discharge is less than two percent per year, and the operating temperature ranges from -40 to 85 degrees C. The batteries come in a variety of configurations, including cylindrical cells and battery packs.
