Swichtec Power Systems Ltd. Changes Name to Invensys Energy Systems (NZ) Ltd.

Swichtec Power Systems Ltd. (New Zealand) recently announced it will undergo a name change that will take effect February 14, 2000. The company will be called Invensys Energy Systems (NZ) Ltd.According to the company, the name change reflects the new ownership of the company. In 1998 Swichtec Power Systems was purchased by BTR plc, which was followed by the merger between BTR plc and Siebe plc. The merged companies were consequently named Invensys plc."The name change will not affect Swichtec's operations in any other way," said Dr. James Kennedy, CEO of Swichtec. "We will continue to produce exceptional products based on world class technology, developed for communications network providers worldwide. Intergy will continue to be our leading product brand."
