January 18, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

SunWize Technologies announced a new line of single crystalline modules with FM approval for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D, Hazardous (Classified) Locations. The new SunWize® SL series includes 6, 12 and 24W modules. Manufactured in accordance to ISO 9002 standards, SL modules carry a 10-year, 80% power output warranty.

Bruce Gould, VP Sales, commented, "SL modules are very durable making them an excellent module for remote site locations. They are an integral part of our line of solar power solutions for industrial markets."

SunWize SL modules include an impact resistant glass front, Tedlar® back, EVA encapsulate, anodized aluminum tubular frame with pre-drilled mounting holes, and a weather-resistant junction box with a terminal for the addition of a blocking diode. The glass surface allows maximum light transmission and is impact resistant to one-inch diameter hailstones at terminal velocity (5 ft-lbs). The frames are constructed to withstand constant wind speeds of 110 mph and gusts to 133 mph. Accessories include an adjustable SunWize universal side-of-pole mount using clamps to eliminate the need to drill additional holes. The mounts include a 0 to 90° mounting arm with tilt indicators.
