Sprague-Goodman Unveils FILMTRIM Series Capacitors

February 25, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Sprague-Goodman Electronics Inc. (Westbury, NY) announced the FILMTRIM Series of plastic dielectric trimmer capacitors, which offer a smaller footprint than leaded though-hole models, making them suitable for RF circuit, telecom, CATV and broadband applications. The capacitors measure a maximum of 6.8mm x 5.4mm x 2.6mm, and use a PTFE film as dielectric, withstanding 200Vdc.

The capacitors feature a Q factor of >1,000 at 10MHz and an operating temperature range of -25 to +85 degrees C. They can also withstand 260 degrees C of soldering heat for 10s. The FILMTRIM Series devices are available in 0.5pF to 4.5pF (GSX364), 0.6pF to 9pF (GSX358), 0.8pF to 15pF (GSX365) and 1pF to 20pF (GSX366) capacitance ranges.

The GSX358 is priced at $0.42 each.
