Spire Appoints Martin Stein As Vice President Of Product Development

Spire Corp. announced that it has expanded its leadership team with the addition of Martin Stein as Vice President of Product Development of Spire Solar. Stein will be responsible for leading the development and commercialization of Spire Solar’s technology platforms. He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry, developing complex systems for automation and processing.

"His extensive experience in advanced robotics, thin film and photovoltaic applications, as well as his proven leadership in introducing new product lines and managing market growth will be a valuable asset to Spire as we continue to meet the demand for solar capital equipment worldwide."

Most recently, Stein served as general manager of the robotics product group and director of quality at Brooks Automation, where he was responsible for the introduction and market growth of semiconductor wafer and flat-panel display automation equipment. He is said to have extensive experience in the photovoltaic industry, having developed photovoltaic applications and materials early in his career in conjunction with NASA for terrestrial solar cells. He has also developed thin film processes and equipment for the Department of Defense, National Institutes of Health and Department of Energy applications.
