Recom introduced SMD versions for its recently released 3.5W, 5W, and 6W medical-grade dc-dc converters. The company’s REM3.5E, REM5E, and REM6E series of medical-grade regulated dc-dc converters now come with either pins or SMD. They feature reinforced 250Vac continuous working isolation with >8mm creepage/clearance providing 2xMOPP and qualify for medical B, BF, and CF applications due to their very low 1µA leakage current.
The reinforced insulation of up to 10kVdc is sufficient for virtually any medical application.
For the REM3.5E and REM5E series, the nominal input voltage is 5V, 12V, 24V, or 48V. The REM6E series features input voltages of 12V, 24V, or 48V. All three series offer output voltages of 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 24V, ±5V, ±9V, ±12V, or±15V. The output currents of REM3.5E, REM5E, and REM6E are up to 700mA, 1000mA, and 667mA respectively.
These compact SMD packages have tightly regulated single or dual outputs with UVLO, SCP, OCP, and OVP. The modules operate at above 80% efficiency in a wide temperature range from -40°C up to +85°C without derating.
