Smart Modular Technologies Intros DV/DH Series

January 20, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Smart Modular Technologies Inc. (Fremont, CA) announced its DV/DH Series of non-isolated, SIP, dc/dc converters, which provides full output current when operating up to 85°C, compared to competing devices that supply about half the output current at the same temperature.

Available with dimensions of 40.64mm x 16.76 x 5.23mm, the DV (vertical mount) and DH (horizontal mount) converters operate at high efficiencies, low power dissipation and a high mean time between failure. The converters accept a 3.3V or 5V input and deliver 3A to 7A (0.7V to 3.3V), allowing them to accommodate DSPs, FPGAs and microcontrollers that operate at lower voltages. Other features of the converters include remote sense, output enable and output-voltage trim.
