Siliconix Debuts New DG2000 Series Switches

June 26, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Siliconix Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) announced a new family of analog switching devices designed for low-voltage signal routing and voice and data applications. The industry's first analog switch family to feature 1.8V, 3V and 5V ratings for all devices, the new DG2000 Series also provides outstanding charge-injection performance. New devices in the DG2000 family include two single-SPDT analog switches (DG2001, DG2002), three dual-SPST analog switches (DG2003, DG2004, DG2005), and a single asymmetrical- SPDT analog switch (DG2020).

By combining low-battery-voltage operation, low on-resistance, low charge injection and fast switching speeds, the new DG2000 Series switches deliver fast and accurate performance while saving power in portable and battery-operated systems, including cell phones, test equipment, sample and hold circuits, and communications systems. With the exception of the DG2020, which is rated for operation from 2.7V to 5.5V, the new devices are designed for low-voltage operation ranging from 1.8V to 5.5V. The low-battery-voltage operation reduces power consumption, which prolongs battery life.

Samples and production quantities of the new DG2000 analog switches are available now, with lead times of four weeks for larger orders.
