Sensitron Semiconductor Announces IM Series of DC/DC Converters

April 09, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Sensitron Semiconductor (Deer Park, NY) announced the IM Series, its latest addition of isolated miniature 1W dc/dc converters, to their portfolio of micro-electronic devices. These converters are suitable for use in distributed power systems, telecommunications equipment, datacom equipment, instrumentation products and microprocessor-based systems. The series consists of a total of 40 models featuring 1,000Vdc isolation, output voltage accuracy of ±5 percent, and an operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees C, with deratings.

The IM series is available in 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48V levels, in single-output packages with output voltages of 5, 9, 12 and 15V. These require no external components for operation. The IM Series is packaged in 0.768" x 0.280" x 0.230" single inline packages (SIP) or 0.803" x 0.402" x 0.248 dual inline packages (DIP). The devices have typical efficiencies of up to 75 percent on 48V input models.

Sensitron's new dc/dc converters will be available May 2001.
