Schaefer Intros P Series Power Factor Correction Modules

Schaefer Inc. (Ashland, MA) recently introduced the P Series of 0.8-6kW, 3U and 6U high VMW/Eurorack compatible power factor correction modules. The new units offer 93-264Vac input and an output dc bus of 380Vdc. These units are housed in a variety of 3U and 6U VMW/Eurorack configurations, depending on output power rating, and incorporate DIN 41612 H15 I/O connectors. Options include: ruggedization, inhibit, power fail/ac-ok, system reset, active current sharing for redundant operation, and wall mounting to allow for non rack-mounted applications. Applications for the P Series include locomotive controls and communications equipment, telecommunications systems, process control systems, power stations and virtually all other applications require power conversion with a PFC front end.
