Schaefer Announces New AI-150-24A DC/AC Inverter

Schaefer Inc. (Ashland, MA) announced it is offering the new AI-150-24A, a 150W modified sinewave output dc/ac inverter with battery charger. The inverter is available with an ac input of 120V and a battery input of 12V to 15V or 20V to 30V, producing an output of 110Vac at 150W. According to Schaefer, its small form factor of 160 x 180 x 130mm allows installation into any application.

Key features of the new AI-150-24A include microcontroller-based design for power backup applications, power backup units or stand-alone inverter applications, selectable ac 110V/220V input, ac 110V outputs, built-in battery charger, automatic switch-over from ac mode to inverter mode, and fast change-over response from ac line mode to battery backup inverter mode. In addition, it features low battery alarm, input and output fuses, thermal protection, battery polarity reverse, and battery over-charge protections. The inverter also has a selectable panel meter for either ac output or battery voltage monitoring and ac/INV, battery and alarm panel indicators for status monitoring and fault tolerance.
