Schaefer Inc. (Ashland, MA) announced that it has added a 110V/124V switching battery charger to its SR Series for high-voltage battery applications, bringing the family to four current-mode models delivering 100W to 750W at 12V, 24V, 48V and an adjustable 103V to 130V for the new 750W version.
The new modules, driven from an 88Vac to 132Vac or 180Vac to 264Vac input, or from a 200Vdc to 375Vdc input (230Vac units), guard against over-current and over-voltage, and have thermal protection. The plug-in terminal-block-type chargers feature float operation, precise voltage and current control, and current-limit adjust from 50 to 110 percent. Options include temperature compensation, voltage and current metering.
Pricing for the 750W charger is $490 each in quantities of 100. Delivery is six to eight weeks ARO.
