SAPC Appoints Starrs as New President

The Board of Directors of Schott Applied Power Corp. (SAPC, Rocklin, CA) announced the appointment of Thomas Starrs as President of SAPC. Starrs, a well-respected leader in the photovoltaics industry, has led and contributed to a number of successful initiatives, including his championship of "net metering" and simplified interconnection requirements across the country and on the federal level. Starrs has been actively involved with a number of renewable-energy advocacy groups, including the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, the Solar Energy Industries Association and the American Solar Energy Society.

"Tom will provide excellent leadership and guidance as SAPC enters a new phase of growth and opportunity," remarked Hans-Joachim Konz, SAPC’s chairman of the board and executive vice president of Schott’s Strategic Business Unit Home Tech.
