Sager Electronics Expands Power Solutions Center

November 27, 2018 by Paul Shepard

Sager Electronics has relocated its Power Solutions Center (PSC) to a 64,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Carrollton, TX. The new facility is 70% larger than Sager’s existing location, and will include 20,500 square feet of value-add production space and an engineering lab; a 3,500 square foot service center including sales offices, meeting and collaborative space, and training room; and a 40,000 square foot distribution center.

The new PSC offers a full range of design, manufacturing and testing services in support of Sager’s power and thermal value-add business. Over the next few months, the new distribution center will house power supplies, thermal management solutions and specialty components sourced specifically to meet Sager’s growing value-add and traditional product demands.

The distribution center will operate on the same warehouse management system as Sager’s 100,000 square foot facility in Middleborough, MA, providing Sager a full array of logistical capabilities out of two sites.

“Sager’s new PSC and distribution center expands our value-add production and warehousing footprints,” explained Shannon Freise, Vice President of Operations. She continued, “The increased square footage, well-equipped production floor and fully-automated distribution center will better support our growing power and thermal product distribution requirements.”

“The new Carrollton, Texas facility furthers our commitment to our power and thermal strategy as well as our efforts to improve service levels and time to market,” stated Frank Flynn, President of Sager Electronics.

“The larger Southcentral Service Center is better equipped to handle our sales and product marketing presence in the territory, while our increased value-add services and distribution capabilities in the new, centrally-located facility afford us the opportunity to achieve our strategic objectives across our entire business,” Flynn concluded.
