RTP Intros RT8 Series Medium-Power DC Power Systems

April 28, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Rectifier Technologies Pacific (Australia) introduced its new RT8 Series of switched-mode rectifier modules. The rectifiers have been designed to be used in conjunction with a battery to provide an uninterruptible dc power system. The low noise and high reliability make them suited to telecommunications applications.

The RT8 Series is available in 12 V, 24 V and 48 V versions. The RT8 48 V/50 A is designed to provide up to 60 A of output current into a -48 V telecom system, and the RT8 24 V/100 A is designed to provide up to 120 A of output current into a 24 V system.

Up to 225 rectifiers can be configured as a system using one control and supervisory unit (MiniCSU-2). The system can be monitored and controlled remotely using Rectifier Technologies' WinCSU-2 software and modem communications or WebCSU, an embedded network server, which can run over any IP network, including the Internet, and allows communication using Rectifier Technologies' WinCSU-2, SNMP and HTTP.
