RO Associates Intros Three New PicoVerter pV300s

January 26, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

RO Associates Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) introduced three new 60W, 300V input high-density dc/dc converters. The new PicoVerter pV300 models offer outputs of 12, 15 or 24Vdc, and are designed for circuit board mounting in telecom and other distributed power or centralized modular power applications. The modules are compatible with RO's power factor corrected front-end converters for universal ac to 5, 12, 15, or 24Vdc applications. The modules' dc output voltage is adjustable +/-10 percent and is isolated from the input for use in + or - output voltage applications. Full rated output power is available over the entire baseplate temperature range of -40 to +100 degrees C. Features include industry standard pin-out, high efficiency, constant frequency operation, non-shutdown overvoltage protection, logic on/off, remote sensing and safety agency compliance.Housed in a low-profile package measuring 0.42 x 2.3 x 2.4 inches, the modules include 4,500Vdc input to output isolation, short circuit protection with automatic recovery, and 105 degrees C thermal shutdown protection. The modules are priced at $105 in single pieces, or $95 each in 100 piece quantities.
