Rayovac Develops New One-Hour NiMH Battery Charger

Rayovac (Madison, WI) announced the introduction of a one-hour NiMH battery charger for high-capacity NiMH batteries, and a new variety of NiMH batteries that, they claim, can be charged up to 1,000 times.
“The proliferation of high-drain devices has created the need for more power," commented Dave Jones, Rayovac's chairman and CEO. “Our new one-hour charger and high-capacity NiMH batteries are designed to meet that need, providing consumers the ultimate in speed, convenience and mobility."
Rayovac will launch both products in the summer of 2001. The charger will cost around $29.99, and a package of four AA or AAA NiMH batteries will retail for around $10.
