QUANTUM Technologies Ships Hydrogen System for Fuel Cell Bus

QUANTUM Technologies Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of IMPCO Technologies Inc. (Irvine, CA), announced that it has developed and shipped its advanced hydrogen storage system for the first ThunderPower fuel cell bus being built via a partnership between Thor Industries Inc. (Jackson Center, OH) and ISE Research Corp. (San Diego, CA). QUANTUM provided the system integration of the roof-mounted hydrogen storage and delivery system, incorporating nine hydrogen tanks, regulators, valves and fuel lines that will deliver a specific pressure to the fuel cell propulsion system.

Syed Hussain, president and CEO of QUANTUM, commented, "We are very pleased to be playing such a significant role in this project, and plan to enable the future commercialization of fuel cell buses through the development and manufacture of hydrogen storage and handling systems for the fuel cell bus market."
