The program has been posted forDarnell’s Power Forum (DPF ’10), September 13 -15 in Chicago. The Monday Plenary Session will feature:

Driving eGaN Transistors for Maximum Performance, Alex Lidow, CEO, Efficient Power Conversion

Maximizing Energy Output of Energy Harvesting Power Supplies with Adaptive Power Management, Peter Spies, Group Manager, Fraunhofer Institute

The Future of Digital Power, Chris Young, Sr. Manager Digital Power Technology, Intersil Zilker Labs

Novel Micro Power Source Based on Fuel Cell Technology, Lonnie Johnson, Founder, Johnson Research and Development Co. Inc. & Excellatron Solid State LLC

DPF ’10 is an exciting new international event that builds on the success of the Digital Power Forum and the nanoPower Forum. There is tremendous synergy possible from discussions broadly focused on power management, energy efficiency, advanced components, energy storage, smart grid innovations and more. Speakers at DPF ’10 will represent the broad scope of advanced power conversion technologies. Companies and organizations represented will include: Anagenesis Inc, CHiL Semiconductor, Cymbet, Efficient Power Conversion, Electric Power Research Institute, Ericsson, Excellatron Solid State LLC, Fairchild Semiconductor, Fraunhofer Institute, GE Digital Energy, IBM, Illinois Capacitor, Intersil Zilker Labs, Johnson Research and Development Co. Inc., Lineage Power, Luna Innovations, Microchip Technology, Powercast, Powervation, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, Tyco Electronics, Tyndall National Institute, and more.

"Darnell Group has always been focused on the leading edge of emerging technologies and advancing power applications. Now, these areas come together in Darnell’s Power Forum - building on our previous success by Advancing Power Technologies That Matter," stated Jeff Shepard, President of Darnell Group. "We are excited about the launch of DPF and about the opportunity to bring an international group of power and energy experts to the Chicago area."

DPF ’10 will be hosted at the Doubletree Hotel Chicago, Oak Brook, mid-way between O’Hare and Midway airports. There is tremendous synergy possible from discussions broadly focused on power management, energy efficiency, advanced components, energy storage, smart grid innovations, and more. DPF ’10 will be a solutions-oriented event, with a strong emphasis on practical advances in power electronics. In addition to a strong focus on today’s "best practices," DPF ’10 will look forward toward next-generation solutions and advances.

The exhibition area will include a full range of active and passive electronic components, energy harvesting devices, batteries and energy storage components, ac-dc power supplies, dc-dc converters, uninterruptible power supplies, power management ICs, and cooling equipment. Exhibitors will have an opportunity to network with key technical personnel in a relaxed and positive atmosphere. DPF will maximize exhibitors’ productivity. The Exhibit Hall will only open when there are no technical sessions. Focused exhibit hours will maximize productivity and efficiency and the addition of food and drink during the exhibits ensures that the Exhibit Hall is THE place to be during exhibit hours. A Welcome Reception and Lunch are served for all delegates in the Exhibit Hall.
