PREMO Announces New HCT-DHR420 Hall Effect Series with 4-20mA Output

May 22, 2011 by Jeff Shepard

Premo has successfully introduced a complete new family of Hall Effect sensor which is equivalent to LEM DHR-C420 family. The main characteristic of this series is the output current, which is fixed in the range of 4 to 20mA. Such TRUE RMS sensing is the most accurate way to measure power supply and it is also used to indicate how the motor and load are operating. The true rms function is able to measure pulse signals.

Premo has developed a completed family with input sensing currents from 20 up to 1000A. The new series provides a linearity <0.5% with a ±% accuracy levels. The bandwidth is up to 6kHz with a response time is below 200ms. The offset drift versus temperature is as low as 0.5µA/°C and consumption of the circuit is only 30mA at no current condition.

The current sensor is designed in order to meet the highest safety requirements and is fully isolated with plastic housing, meeting isolation values higher than 4000 Vac. It is fully accordance to the following standards: isolated plastic case recognized according to UL94-V0; EN 60947-1:2004; EN 60950-1:2001; and EN 50178:1998.
