Powerware Receives Contract from US Air Force for Power Protection

Powerware (Raleigh N.C.) was awarded a three year contract to be a global supplier of power protection solutions for the US Air Force. The follow-on contract also includes two one-year options for preventive and emergency maintenance solutions of uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and has an estimated value of approximately $4 million over its five-year term.The contract allows orders to be placed immediately by the Air Force and other government agencies through an interagency contract. Powerware will furnish both preventive and emergency maintenance services on UPSs and batteries on a daily, weekly, annual or as-needed basis to a worldwide installed base of UPS systems, which have been provided by multiple manufacturers.
