Powerex Introduces Gate Drive Unit For NX-Series IGBT Family

Powerex recently introduced another accessory product to help reduce design time and shorten time to market. Designed for use with dual IGBT modules, specifically Powerex NX-Series IGBTs, VLA536-01R is a completely populated gate drive interface board. Control signals are isolated using high speed opto couplers with 15KV/us common mode noise immunity. The VLA536-01 also provides an isolated fault feedback signal if a short circuit condition is detected.
Product features include: mounts directly to dual NX IGBT modules; 2500 VRMS isolation for control power and signals; operates from a single 15Vdc supply; CMOS compatible input interface; and compact size (101 x 64mm).
