Powercube Adds to TD Series of DC/DC Converters - 250W & 300W

January 24, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

Powercube (Chatsworth, CA) announced it has added devices with full-brick footprints and power ratings of 250W and 300W to its TD Series of dc/dc converters. The new models are targeted for distributed and board mounting power systems in telecommunications applications. According to Powercube, the new converters are pin-for-pin, functionally and mounting compatible with Lucent FC/FW full-brick converters, as well as offering some advanced features. These include over-temperature thermal shutdown, over-voltage protection, power good signal output, built-in current monitor, case ground pin, and positive or negative logic shutdown (remote on/off). In addition to standard 24V and 48V inputs, the TD Series models are also available with 150V and 300V inputs.Available output ratings include 3, 5, 12, 15, 24 and 28Vdc. Efficiency is as high as 90 percent, and total isolation of input, output and baseplate is provided. A typical 300W TD Series converter is priced at $180 in quantities of 100.
