Power-One Releases New MPU150-3300 Power Supply

July 16, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Power-One Inc.'s (Camarillo, CA) low-profile, triple-output MPU150-3300 power supply provides current up to 35A from its 3.3V output and up to 20A from its 5V output. The 150W unit, used for redundant or N+1 systems, also has active PFC and a third output designed to deliver 12V with current capability up to 2A.

The MPU150-3300's low profile fits within 1U-height constraints and its PFC complies with the requirements of European line harmonics standard EN61000-3-2. Thermal shutdown, power-fail and power-good signals are provided. In addition, the unit has single-wire current sharing and over-voltage protection across its 3.3V and 5V outputs. Remote sensing capability is available on the 3.3V and 5V outputs to correct output-power cable losses and provide a remote point of regulation.

The MPU150-3300 is recognized to UL1950, certified to CSA C22.2 #234/950 and TUV licensed to EN60950, and carries the CE Marking for the Low Voltage Directive 89/23/EEC. Pricing for the MPU150-3300 is $168 in quantities above 100. Samples are available from stocking distributors or on a direct basis. Production quantities are available from stock in 10 to 12 weeks.
