Power-One Extends the High Power Series with ER Module

July 02, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Power-One Inc. (Camarillo, CA) has extended its High Power Series with the ER, a standard module rated at 1V at 320A and adjustable over a 0.8V to 2.0V range. The ER module expands the flexibility of Power-One's modular, 4,000W RPM5 product line.

The ER is designed to power semiconductor test equipment and other high-current, 1V applications. The full-featured module provides adjustable OVP, remote margining up to plus or minus 10 percent, an output-good signal, current-share control, remote sense, and local inhibit.

The High Power Series is a flexible, modular system with over 95 standard output modules and 18 chassis rated from 500W to 4,000W. Power-One claims that the modules have demonstrated great reliability, exceeding five-million hours.
