Power-One Debuts RPF5G8G8G8G8KYJ Power Supply

June 26, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Power-One Inc. (Camarillo, CA) introduced a new power-factor corrected (PFC), 3,000W power supply, the RPF5G8G8G8G8KYJ, which provides a 48V output at 64A that is adjustable from 45.6Vdc to 50.4Vdc. The RPF5G8G8G8G8KYJ is an addition to Power-One’s high-power, modular product-line, which can provide over 10 million voltage/current combinations from 18 ac-input chassis and over 95 dc-output modules. Products are available from 1,000W to 4,000W.

The PFC product features remote-sense, current sharing, individual and global module output inhibit, an output-good signal, no minimum load operation, and an integral fan. The RPF5G8G8G8G8KYJ is approved to UL1950 and EN60950 (TUV), and is CE marked to the low-voltage directive. Overall case dimensions are 12.44in x 8.00in x 5.00in (316.0mm x 203.2mm x 127.0mm).

Pricing is $2,112 each in quantities of 100. Evaluation units are available from stock. Production quantities are available in 8 to 10 weeks.
